DataWeb recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it and how to correct or change it.
Your Personal Information
We do not collect personal information when you visit our site unless you fill out a form or register to be a member.
When you register to be a member, we will ask you for certain personal information, including your name and email address, and we will require that you create a UserID and password. We will not disclose any of your personal information to any individual who is not an employee of DataWeb. We may use your personal information to contact you as required by our ordinary course of business, including but not limited to soliciting feedback on our website and our service, providing customer support, announcing new services, responding to beta applications, job requests and requests for general information. We will honor all requests to cease communication. We will not have access to your password.
When you submit feedback or questions via email, or contact us for information about or website or our service, we will request your name and e-mail address. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiries.
We may share general demographic or other information about our members with partner companies as aggregated information that cannot be used in any way to identify you.
We do not share, sell, rent or barter any identifiable personal information to any third party without your permission.
Security
We use Secure Socket Layer Software (SSL), an industry standard encryption technology used by secure commerce and financial sites, to encrypt member passwords during all login sessions. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we do not warrant that your information will be absolutely secure. Any transmission of data on or through the use of our website or our service is at your own risk.
Cookies
We use cookies to track whether our members have logged onto our web. A cookie is a small file containing information that is sent from our server to your machine. This file is deleted when you log out from our website. In addition, if you are logged in but inactive for a certain period of time, the cookie is deleted, requiring you to login again. No other company has access to our cookies, and we do not use the cookies to track your Internet activity once you leave our website. The cookie does not store any other information about you other than your login status.
Logging of Data
Our service is a hosted software product. Along with monthly fees, we may bill members for use of the service based on certain usage metrics, including but not limited to, data throughput, CPU cycles, SQL transactions, and disk space. In order to bill members using these metrics, we must be able to log this data and associate it with a specific member’s account. We will not share individually identifiable log data with anyone who is not an employee of DataWeb. We will also analyze this data in aggregate to improve performance of our service.
Your Choice to Opt Out
DataWeb may contact visitors to this site to provide information about our company or services. DataWeb provides visitors with the
opportunity to opt out of receiving unwanted communications from us at any time. Please see our abuse policy if you are receiving unwanted mail from DataWeb. DataWeb must periodically contact members as part of the ongoing delivery of service to our members. Where possible, DataWeb will provide members with the opportunity to opt out of receiving some communication from us, though a certain level of communication is a necessary part of delivering our service.
Limitations of this Privacy Policy
DataWeb cannot ensure that all member information will never be disclosed in ways not described in this privacy policy. For example, we may be
required to disclose personally identifiable information or content to the government or by court order under certain circumstances, or other
situations may arise requiring such disclosure. In addition, you authorize us to disclose any content or information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate.

DataWeb is Committed to Preventing Spam
DataWeb is committed to preventing unsolicited commercial email, commonly known as spam. As indicated in our Privacy Policy, we will honor all requests by visitors to our site to cease communication.
In addition, all registered DataWeb Members who host websites on the DataWeb Platform have agreed as part of the conditions of their membership to obey DataWeb's anti-spam policy. Here is that policy, reprinted from the DataWeb Member Agreement:
Unsolicited Email (Spam) Forbidden
You are forbidden from using the Service to send unsolicited email, commonly known as "spam". You agree that any email messages sent automatically by the Service through a Member Site must include a valid reply-to address monitored by you or a person known to you, and a mechanism allowing the recipient to request that you not send mail to that recipient. You further agree to honor all such requests. If DataWeb receives verifiable complaints from any individual or organization indicating that you are violating this policy against unsolicited email, your license to the Service and Software will be terminated immediately.
If you have sent a cease communication request to DataWeb or to a website hosted on the DataWeb Platform and that request has been ignored, please send mail to abuse@DataWeb.com. If possible, attach a copy of the mail you received and your cease communication request.
